It turns out that it is impossible for the Dutch party PVV from Geert Wilders to form a group with six other parties in the European Parliament before the deadline of 24 June.
The PVV would like to form a group with the French Front National, the Italian Lega Nord, the Austrian FPO and the Flemish Vlaams Belang. But the needed cooperation with the Polish party KNP does not work out.
Geert Wilders will keep on cooperating with the other parties even without the framework of a formal EP group, and he decides to abandon his claim for a seat in the Dutch and the European parliament.
