After it becomes clear that the Dutch heir of the throne prince Willem Alexander is engaged to the Argentinian blonde Maxima Zorreguieta, it also came out that her father Jorge Zorreguieta has been an important Minister during the dictatorship of the Jorge Rafael Videla regime.
The program Europa Aktuel from the German satellite broadcaster Deutsche Welle come ot the Netherlands to produce a background reportage about the Zorrequita affair.
Maarten Mourik, a former Dutch ambassador of UNESCO, explains why he started a court case against the royal family to prevent Prince Willem Alexander to marry a woman with a father with such a dubious past. The Dutch Royal family already has such a bad reputation marrying the wrong partners, so the link with the former dictatorial regime of Videla would be indigestible to Mourik.
Also a Dutch royalist that is in favour of the marriage is interviewed. He thinks the court case creates a hypocritical mess. To him the couple should not be bothered with the past of daddy Zorreguieta and should be left alone. Also investigative journalist René Zwaap from the Dutch weekly magazine De Groene Amsterdammer is interviewed about the Zorrequita affair.
For this production Featurez gave advice, did the research, setup and planning of the filming, booked a camera crew and organised archive video footage.
