For a program that unveils tapes with footage that was filmed in Uist in the Western Isles in the late seventies and early eighties of the last century and that have been unwatched for 20 years, a crew from the Scottish production company MacTV travels to the Netherlands.
The footage on the analogue video tapes is very difficult to transfer, but a Dutch specialist is found that can do the transfers. In his attic the specialist is filmed and interviewed while he shows how he restores a the old format of black and white video tape. Mysteriously the images of a film, shot in rural Scotland in the last century, reappear on the screen.
The program is part of an arts documentary series that is broadcasted on the second channel of the Scottish BBC
For this documentary production Featurez did the research, set-up and planning of the filming, booked a rental car, did the driving and accompanied the filming.
