The German weekly Der Spiegel reports that personnel from the Royal Dutch Aircraft Factory Fokker’ will be fired. The magazine predicts bankruptcy before 1996. The German group DASA is said to have bought ‘a cat in the bag’ with Fokker. DASA is to carry out drastic restructuring at the company and wants to reduce its workforce from 8,500 to 4,200. In case of bankruptcy more than 100 years of Dutch aircraft tradition will come to an end.
