The French production company Nova Production was created in 1982, just after Jean-François Bizot launched the radio station of the same name. For years, Nova Production followed the station’s cultural universe in images, before opening up to the production of documentaries and reports on broader themes: international, society or politics.
In August 2016, the agency was taken over by Caroline du Saint, Cyprien d’Haese and Thomas Zribi, who are developing many new projects: reports for France 2 (Envoyé Spécial), Arte (Arte Reportage), M6 (66 minutes), large formats for M6 (Zone Interdite, Enquête Exclusive), documentaries for France 5 (Le Monde en face, Docs du dimanche), Arte (Thema), France Ô and Netflix (documentary series, out in August 2020).
Nova also produces the musical series À la dérive for Arte Concert, and the animated series Le Parfum d’Irak for Arte.fr.
For a documentary about hacked crypto communication systems, aimed to be broadcast on Netflix or another international platform, Nova Production wants cooperation with the Dutch police and public prosecutor.
