After working as a newspaper journalist, notably for Le Monde and Le Matin de Paris between 1974 and 1980, Mireille Dumas made a number of documentaries before setting up MD Productions (and MD Presse) in 1991. MD Productions has expertise in the production of society magazines, documentaries, dramas and live performances. The company has produced some of France Télévisions’ biggest society magazines and talk shows, broadcast in the first and second half of the evening, which have left their mark on the history of television: Bas les masques (1992 to 1996), La vie à l’endroit (1997 to 2000) and Vie privée, Vie publique (2000 to 2011), starring Mireille Dumas.
