Verdict trial Mothers of Srebrenica

The verdict is given in the lawsuit started by the group Mothers of Srebrenica at a civil court in The Hague.

The group, which represents 6,000 relatives of the victims, says the UN and the Dutch state are in part responsible for the deaths of 8,000 Bosnian-Muslim men and boys in July 1995 since Srebrenica was a “safe area” under UN protection.

The women are demanding that the court in The Hague recognises the failure of the UN to protect the men and boys against the Bosnian Serb forces of Ratko Mladić, and that the victims’ families receive compensation of 25,000 Euros.

In the Srebrenica massacre in July 1995 more than 8,000 Bosniak Muslim men and boys in and around the town of Srebrenica were massacred during the Bosnian War.

The news program Tagesschau from the German public broadcaster ARD is reporting about the verdict and needs a producer to organise the filming, book a crew and to interview the mothers and their lawyer.

For this news production Featurez gave advice, did the research, set-up, planning of the filming, booked a camera crew, did the direction and interviews and accompanied the satellite transfer of the video material.
