Migrants in the Netherlands

While the populism of the late Pim Fortuyn is more and more adapted by the Dutch, it seems the natives and migrants do not live so well together anymore in the Netherlands.

For the BBC program Eurobrief reporter Flavia Jokic travels to the Netherlands to produce a reportage about the status of the multicultural society after the rise and the brutal assassination of the Dutch populist politician Pim Fortuyn.

Driss is a third generation Moroccan and born in Rotterdam. After family problems he ended up in a special charity home for Dutch Moroccan boys. A portrait of a young Moroccan boy to give insight in the problems third generation migrants encounter after being neglected for years.

For this reportage Featurez propose the story idea, did the research, set-up and planning of the filming, booked a camera crew, accompanied the filming and did translations.
