For a Nippon TV entertainment program a presenter comes to Amsterdam to fish in the canals with magnets.

Magnet fishing is a known hobby in the Netherlands. Since the country has loads of canals, rivers, ditches and lakes, a lot metal objects end up in the water. The presenter fishes on several locations in the center of Amsterdam and pulls up loads of different objects.

Obviously many bikes fished out of the Amsterdam canals, but also a metal Amsterdam bollard, cutlery, a flagpole with an Amsterdam flag, and a lot more.

In the end an Amsterdam antique shop owner gives an idea what the value of the retrieved treasures is and after all metal is delivered to a scrap metal processing company. During the filming the presenter also visits house boats, tours with a boat full of students and goes for a swim in a canal with locals.

For this production Featurez accompanied the filming, booked a rental crew van and did the driving.
