On 15 October tens of thousands of people along the route of the funeral procession paid their last respects to Prince Claus, husband of Queen Beatrix, who died on 6 October. The prince’s body was transferred to the Nieuwe Kerk in Delft in a grey carriage with purple upholstery. There, the prince was interred in the Royal Household vault.
After the husband of the Dutch Queen Beatrix Prince Claus died, both the Netherlands and Germany are in mourning. The German Prince made himself very loved in The Netherlands.
The German first public TV broadcaster ARD transmits the funeral live on television. The tabloid program Brisant, produced by the state broadcaster MDR and transmitted on the ARD, covers the funeral procession and –ceremony, do live stand-ups and interviews on location and need street interviews of people along the route of the funeral procession.
For this production Featurez did research information about the route of the funeral procession and the planning of the funeral service in Delft, organise and accompany interview partners for live program, accompanied live transmission, booked a camera crew, did direction and street interviews and organised and accompanied the satellite transfer of the video material.
