26% of the Netherlands is located below sea level and 59% of the Netherlands is at risk of flooding from water from the sea or rivers.

Some parts of the west of the country is so wet that roads are constantly sink that these road constantly need to be raised and the Dutch rivers have to process more and more water often causing floods.

All the water and all the problems with water urge the Dutch to live at and with water the water instead of fighting against the water.

How do the Dutch cope with their wet surroundings, what will be the long term future of the Netherlands and how can they protect and adept in the low laying delta. A few examples of special barriers and experiments with floating houses, green houses and even complete floating districts.

The documentary program Weltjournal from the Austrian public TV channel ORF are interested to produce a film on the way the Dutch live with and on the water and on the latest innovations.

For this production Featurez gave advice, did the research, set-up and planning of the filming.
