A few months after the disastrous explosions at the firework factory in Enschede, the local football club FC Twente organises a benefit match against the German football club Werder Bremen for the victims and the surviving relatives.
The right moment for Europe correspondent Ingeborg Haffert to report on the actual situation is in the heavily damaged neighbourhood in Enschede for the program Europamagazin from the German public broadcaster ARD.
Victims of the disaster and an appointed coordinator from the city hall are interviewed in a special reception centre and the initiator of the match explains that also a lot of Germans helped and gave support. A training from FC Twente is filmed and the ARD crew accompanies a family from the heavily damaged neighbourhood to the benefit match against Weder Bremen. Sadly some of the FC Twente supporters that died in the explosions will never come back.
For this reportage Featurez did the research, set-up and planning, accompanied the filming and organised and accompanied the satellite transfer of the video material.
