Abortion is a daily practice in the Netherlands. It is even said that is is all far to easy. Especially new ethnic minorities visit the clinics regularly. Dutch Minister of Health Els Borst: ‘In special cases abortion is permitted and okay, even when the mother does not want a boy or a girl. But, in general a child should be accepted as it is and comes to us. But the abortion-law also says that when there is an emergency for pregnant women, it is allowed to have an abortion.’ No catrgories are mentioned.
