The 2nd World Water Forum in The Hague

Water is often called the new oil of the future. While the world population is growing, the quantity of drinking water is decreasing.

During the World Water Forum in The Hague 5700 participants deliberate over the use and the distribution of drinking water.

The event generates a lot of debate on the Water Vision for the Future and the associated Framework for Action, dealing with the state and ownership of water resources, their development potential, management and financing models, and their impact on poverty, social, cultural and economic development and the environment.

The opening speech by the Dutch Prince Willem Alexander is cruelly disturbed by naked activists protesting against a new dam ruining nature in Spain.

The news program Tagesschau from the German first public TV channel ARD wants to report on the event and needs an interview with the Chairman of the World Commission on Water for the 21st Century Ismail Serageldin and general views of the World Water Forum event itself.

For this production Featurez proposed the idea for the story, did the research, set-up and the planning of the filming, direction and interviews.
