After the football match Ajax-Celtic a Celtic football fan was gunned down in Amsterdam yesterday afternoon after challenging a thief who was picking his pocket in an incident that is likely to cement the Dutch city’s reputation for serious gun crime.
The unidentified 41-year old man from Glasgow was in a stable condition and out of danger in an Amsterdam hospital last night having undergone surgery to remove a single bullet in his chest.
His attacker, who approached the man as he was drinking in a hostess bar in the city centre with his son and other Celtic fans, was last night being sought by the police
BBC news want to know all details about the incident, how heavily the victim is injured and what the identity is of both the victim as the perpetrator.
