The Dutch Religious Peace Deliberation organisation IKV organises a series of activities before the Dutch report of the Srebrenica massacre is presented by the Royal Dutch Institute for War Documentation.
Apart from the publication of the pamphlet ‘Srebrenica, the Genocide that was not prevented’, the IKV organises ‘The Night of Srebrenica’ and invite ‘The women of Srebrenica’ and other Bosnian witnesses for all kinds of activities and a quiet demonstration.
A crew form the Scottish TV program Eòrpa travels to the Netherlands to attend the presentation of the report about the Srebrenica disaster, and follow the ‘The women of Srebrenica’ during their visit to the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and to Camp Westerbork a Nazi transit camp in the province of Drenthe in the north east of the Netherlands for Jews, Sinti and Roma to concentration camps, during World War II. Also one of the Dutch soldiers of the UN peace keeping force Dutchbat gives his views on the disaster and the presentation of the report.
For this background reportage Featurez proposed the story idea, gave advice, did the research, set-up and planning of the filming, booked a rental van, did the driving, accompanied the filming and did the interviews and translations.
