The city of Rotterdam is planning to get rid of the “disgraceful” street prostitution of often addicted women by closing the zone for sex workers in the Rotterdam district Katendrecht. The approach from the Rotterdam municipality is called a new concept.
The addicted sex workers will be removed by putting them into a detoxification project, sex workers without a residence permit will be expelled from the Netherlands and the rest of will be able to work in a small scale low profile indoor window brothel.
Interviews with addicted sex workers working at the street prostitution zone, with their god mother Nora Storm that fights for their rights in Rotterdam, with Hans Visser the pastor from the reformed Paulus church known for sheltering people from the bottom of society, including drug addicts and homeless people and with the responsible alderman from the Rotterdam city hall.
The reportage will be transmitted on the 2nd of June, the International Sex Workers’ Day’.
