Hundreds of old veterans gather in large sleeping halls in the Feyenoord football statium in Rotterdam the night before the funeral. The next day they veterans have breakfast and travel and march to their place along the funeral route in The Hague. For hours they stand in the cold before they can salute to their hero passing by during the funeral parade.
The first German public TV channel ARD covers the funeral in a live broadcast in which the reportage about the Dutch veterans is transmitted.
