After the Party for Neighbourly love, Freedom and Diversity (PNVD) got permission from the Dutch elections commission to be established, it won a court case trying to prohibit the controversial political party. The three main founders of the PNVD, better known as the ‘paedophile party’, organise a press conference the press centre of the parliament, in the political hart of The Netherlands.
During the press conference the PNVD founders complain that they do not get much attention from the Dutch media and politicians. They try to stimulate a debate with the journalists present, but only get harsh questions.
The three founders openly admit being paedophile, but stress that their party is not only established to fight for the rights of paedophiles. But the main program point of the PNVD is lowering the age limit for sexual contact with adults, from 16 to 12.
In the background reportage for the program Weltjournal from the Austrian public TV broadcaster ORF, a member of No Kidding, a network against child abuse stresses that paedophilia is abnormal and that this party needs to be prohibited as soon as possible. A Dutch doctor specialised in treating paedophiles states that they only want one thing and that is sex with children and that the disease is incurable. The only option is to fight the symptoms. Also a specialist on youth and abuse and one of the PNVD founders is interviewed.
