Nicotine ban in Dutch coffee shops

Since the first of July smoking in cafes, restaurants and night clubs is banned in the Netherlands. Tobacco smoking is also forbidden in the famous Dutch coffee shops, while the tolerated cannabis and hash can be smoked pure without a problem. But in the Netherlands soft drugs users usually smoke joints, that contain both cannabis or hash mixed with tobacco.

Europe correspondent Sonja Sagmeister from the Austrian public TV broadcaster ORF travels to the Netherlands to produce a reportage for the news program Tagesschau. the owner from coffeeshop 420 Café in Amsterdam Michael Veling and some of his clients explain what they think of the new law.
