Problems construction Amsterdam metro line

After the collapse of the city archive in Cologne caused by the construction of a new underground railway line, the program Europamagzin from the German public TV channel ARD sends a reporter to the Netherlands to interview a specialised engineer and two inhabitants of some historical buildings that sank because the newly constructed walls of a station for the future Amsterdam North/South metro line started leaking.

After it became clear that their house was unstable, the inhabitants had to leave immediately and are now staying and working at alternative locations, while their houses are supported with wooden beams, so they do not fall apart. Whereas the drilling of the tunnel still has to start most of the building activities had to be halted. A special commission is researching what to do next.

For this reportage Featurez did the research, set-up and planning.
