Improper use of medicine Ritalin

Many concerns have been raised in Europe about the high quantity of Ritalin use in Europe. Ritalin is a medicines that is prescribed for ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) .

In the Netherlands ten times more Ritalin is prescribed in comparison with ten years ago. It turns out that many are misusing the medicine as a drug. Ritalin can be bought online, and people misuse it by either snorting it or even injecting it to get high.

A crew from the Scottish background reportage TV program Eòrpa travels to the Netherlands to talk to portray and interview a young woman that was addicted to sniffing Ritalin for years. The young woman and her mother tell their story and give their point of view. A specialised doctor explains what kind of disorder ADHD is and what the working of Ritalin is and a researcher that just published a research after the improper use of Ritalin explains what he found out.

For this background reportage Featurez gave advice, did the research, set-up and planning of the filming, booked a rental van and did the driving, accompanied the filming, did the interviews and the translations of the interviews.
