The Provincial Elections are especially important because the Dutch have a minority government with the support of the Party of the Freedom from Geert Wilders.
Although the delegates from the provinces only vote for the Senate at the end of May, it is exciting to find out what the actual political situation is in the Netherlands and if the minority cabinet will get a majority in the Senate so they actually can bring into force the restrictive anti-immigration and anti-Europe laws.
Also a budget cut of around 20 billion needs to be approved in the upcoming years. In the actual divided Dutch political landscape it is for sure that it will be a tight race.
The news program Tagesschau from the Siwss public TV channel will cover the Dutch Provincial Elections and needs the latest information.
For this news reportage Featurez gave advice, did research and reported on the outcome of the elections.
