In the Netherlands a majority of the MPs is supporting a law proposal to ban Kosher and Halal slaughter methods. The Dutch Senate needs to votes on this law proposal from the unique Dutch Party for the Animals. Just before the vote a crew from the Scottish BBC program Eòrpa visits the Netherlands to produce a background reportage about this sensitive topic. They portrait and interview Islamic slaughterers and butchers, a Jewish orthodox rabbi, the owner of a Jewish lunchroom, scientists, a reformed Christian senator and talk to people in the streets.
