Gordon Watson is recognised as one of the world’s leading authorities of 20th Century design. He says he was always destined to work in antiques having caught the ‘dealer bug’ at a young age.
For BBC 2 Gordon is followed while he is in the Netherlands visiting leading Dutch designers and art dealers. Very excited about the meetings with the designers, and even more about their designs Gordon Watson travels through the Netherlands to buy Dutch design for specific clients, for his shop in London or just for himself.
In the Netherlands Gordon meets designers and artists Lonneke Gordijn and Ralph Nauta from Studio DRIFT, Maarten Bass. Job Smeets from Studio Job and pottery artist Aldo Bakker.
For this production Featurez gave advice, did research, setup and planning of the filming, booked a rental car, did the driving, accompanied the filming, did some audio booming and did some of the interviews.
