On July 17th 2014 Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 crashed in eastern Ukraine. On board were 283 passengers and 15 crew members. Among the passengers were 196 Dutch nationals. None of the passengers and the crew survived the crash.
The Joint Investigation Team (JIT), the Netherlands Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Dutch National Police and the police and judicial authorities of Australia, Belgium, Malaysia and Ukraine are executing a criminal investigation to establish the facts, identify those responsible for the crash and to collect evidence which can be used in court.
Ren TV reporter Vitaliy Kahin meets relatives of crash victims and a journalist to find out what they expect of the investigation and the outcome.
