To fight extreme housing nuisance a Skaeve Huse (Strange Houses) complex, a concept originally developed in Denmark, was built in Rotterdam. The tiny houses are intended for people that cause too much residential nuisance. It is the last resort when no other approach to fight the nuisance helps.
In this way Rotterdam wants to cope with people causing serious social problems in neighbourhoods and bring back peace in streets. In the Skaeve Huse complex the inhabitants are living under supervision, in a quiet environment.
Reporter Antoine Mouteau visits the Skeave Huse complex and talks to the project leader, a supervisor and an inhabitant. He also interviews Joost Eerdmans, the Rotterdam alderman that initiated the project.
For this reportage production Featurez did the filming, the audio, booked a rental car and did the driving.
