VEHICLE-MOUNTED CAMERAS TO PROVIDE QUICKER AID
The Dutch Public Works Ministry has announced a pilot scheme involving vehicle-mounted cameras to speed up aid to victims and clearing the road after traffic accidents. Road traffic control centers, police, fire brigades and other emergency services will receive live images of accidents recorded by the cameras mounted on a total of five vehicles.
The ministry expects the new system will lead to faster and more effective assistance in traffic accidents. The pilot will be held in the north and east of the country and will last three months. (Expatica)
