POSSIBLE DISAPPEARANCE OF A UNIQUE DEPOSIT SYSTEM
The Dutch have the most successful deposit system for glass and plastic in the world. Close to 100% of the used glass for example is returned. Now, probably under pressure of the European Industry, the Dutch will possibly dump their very successful deposit system for PET-bottles, plastic 1.5 litre bottles.
Environmental organisations stress that more plastic bottles will end up in the incinerator, on the rubbish dump or in the environment ,causing a huge increase in the costs of the waste disposal. Will the environment loose from the European industry resulting in the disappearance of an unique and good working deposit system. more features
