RECORD NUMBER OF JOB OPENINGS

The number of job openings has reached an all-time high. At the end of September there were 236,000 vacancies. Unemployment is declining steadily meanwhile. The number of unemployed fell by 5,000 a month on average over the past half year.

Between August and October there were about 307,000 unemployed people on average, Statistics Netherlands (CBS) reported on Thursday. That is 4 percent of the working population, compared to 5.2 percent over the same period last year. read more (expatica.com)
