NO DUTCH CRISIS CUTBACKS FOR NOW
Dutch Deputy Prime Minister Wouter Bos says the global financial crisis does not yet require any fresh cutbacks. He pointed out that next year's budget already anticipates an economic slowdown.
Wouter Bos stressed that the country's economy is continuing to grow and unemployment dropping. He also expressed support for the leading role French President Nicolas Sarkozy is taking on in combating the current credit crunch.
Bos was chairing the weekly cabinet meeting in the absence of Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende, who is attending the Asia-Europe summit in China. (expatica.nl)
